- We need to understand and discuss why people use drugs and not criminalise and demonise them for using. Many people feel a strong need and desire to escape reality and their lives, let's discuss why this is happening and why addictions occur for many people. For many it is connected to trauma, abuse and neglect, we need to think about why people feel the need to use and support people to feel good about their lives.
